This is my Abraham. I adopted
him May 14th,2008 from South Central Bloodhound Club. From the 1st day he just stole my heart. From what we were told,
he had a very hard life before he was rescued. After treatment for serious medical conditions, he was ready for his "For-ever
Home" and he did just that, he came to me. Abe was the most wonderful animal that God ever created, so loving, kind,
and appreciated everything that was done for him. His presence just sucked in your heart and soul! No other animal has ever
touched me so deeply. One morning just after feeding Abe and putting him in his yard to play with Daisy, he laid down
to sun himself just like every morning before. I was outside feeding the horses and called his name but he never moved. This
wasn't uncommon, Bloodhounds rarely do what you ask them to do. So I called at him louder to wake him up and still no response.
This is when I knew that something was wrong. I ran in the yard and that was when I saw that he had died, just laying there
so peacefully. After hours of screaming and crying, I was told by our vet that his heart had just stopped, probably
a complication from his heart worm treatment from months earlier. Abe died on December 13th,2008.
I only had the pleasure of having my Abraham for 7 months but it was the most
wonderful 7 months of my life! My home will never be the same without him here with me. This site is dedicated in loving
memory of my precious Abraham.
So sadly missed
but Never forgotten!
